High Caliber Operations LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates Caliber Score and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account registration details (name, email address, password)
  • Billing information (processed and stored by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers)
  • Profile information you add to your account
  • Communications you send us (support requests, feedback)

Information collected automatically:

  • Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps)
  • Device information (operating system, device identifiers)
  • Usage data (features used, actions taken within the platform)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookies section)

Credit and financial data:

To provide credit monitoring and analysis features, we may retrieve credit report data from consumer reporting agencies on your behalf, with your explicit consent.

We do not store your full credit reports. Credit data is processed in real-time and not retained beyond the active session or the period required to display results to you. We do not sell, rent, or share your raw credit data with third parties for marketing purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Caliber Score platform
  • Process transactions and manage your subscription
  • Personalize your experience and provide AI-powered recommendations
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, account alerts, security notifications)
  • Send product updates and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
  • Conduct analytics to understand how the service is used

We do not use your credit data to train AI models without your express consent.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the platform, including:

  • Clerk (authentication and identity management)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Neon (database hosting)
  • Vercel (hosting and infrastructure)
  • Resend (transactional email)
  • Equifax (credit data retrieval, with your consent)
  • Anthropic / OpenAI (AI features — prompts may be processed by these providers)

Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of High Caliber Operations LLC, our users, or the public.

Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you via email or prominent platform notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Business plan subscribers (white-label): If you access Caliber Score through a third-party agency using our white-label portal, that agency is also a data controller with respect to your data. Their privacy practices are separate from ours.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive fields (including hashed identifiers for sensitive personal data)
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel
  • Regular security reviews and monitoring

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to certain processing activities, including direct marketing
  • Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances

6. California & State Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to Know: Request disclosure of what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Contact us to limit use of sensitive data beyond what is necessary to provide the service
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

Residents of other states with applicable privacy laws (Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, etc.) may have similar rights. Contact us at privacy@caliberscore.com to exercise your rights.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Authentication: Maintaining your logged-in session (essential)
  • Preferences: Remembering your settings (functional)
  • Analytics: Understanding how the platform is used (performance)

Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the platform to function. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features.

8. Children's Privacy

Caliber Score is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes, which are retained for 7 years).

Credit data retrieved during an active session is not retained after the session ends. We do not build long-term archives of your credit reports.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect via email or a prominent notice on the platform. The "Effective date" at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated. Your continued use of Caliber Score after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
